I started JG's Custom Woodwork after leaving the military, when my wife asked me to build her a blanket ladder. What I thought would be a simple project turned into something much bigger. I fell in love with the process of creating something with my hands, shaping raw wood into a piece that meant something to someone.
From that first ladder, I realized I had a passion for building one of a kind pieces that people could use, display, and connect with. Every board, cut, and finish led me deeper into the craft, and that passion grew into the business you see today.
